GTU signs MoU with cybercrime cell

Cybercrime cell of Rajkot police has signed an MOU with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to control cybercrime. This was announced by CM Vijay Rupani at a ceremony held at Rajkot.
The purpose of this MOU is to initiate and develop mutually beneficial national cooperation in the area of cyber security and forensic investigation. In the strategic cooperation GTU and police will identify common academic and technical domains to develop the capacity building for the police department of Rajkot. The corporation will be helpful to detect different types of frauds and to gather related information.
This MOU will also be helpful in finding out the illegal activities in the dark web for Rajkot district of Gujarat. Experts of GTU will help police in solving the cases such as missing children, wanted criminals etc. through social media and latest techniques like Artificial Intelligence etc. GTU experts work on social media monitoring the Rajkot district. GTU will help the police department for the development of portal and app suitability and requirement.
