Labour's move towards backing another Brexit referendum makes most of Tuesday's front pages. The party came out for a new vote to block what they call the prime minister's "botched" plan or a no-deal scenario being "forced" on the country, the Daily Mirror reports.

Jeremy Corbyn's announcement sent shockwaves through Westminster, according to the Metro. "Labour backs people's vote", says its headline.

The Daily Telegraph sees Labour's move as being designed to stem a tide of defections from the party over Brexit. But the paper says the "attempt at party unity" appeared, in fact, to prompt a new split, with a backlash from its MPs in Leave-voting areas.

The Times says the terms of the potential new vote being proposed by Labour remain unclear. It adds that the departure of eight MPs to the breakaway Independent Group appears to have unnerved the party's leadership into shifting position.

The Daily Mail mentions the Labour move but focuses on reports Theresa May is ready to rule out leaving the EU with no deal on 29 March following a "mass revolt" by her ministers. As many as 15 are said to be ready to resign unless she signals her willingness to delay Brexit, it claims.

The Guardian says Jeremy Corbyn has finally thrown his party's weight behind a fresh vote after a "concerted push" by shadow cabinet colleagues. It is also among the front pages to picture "Oscar queen" Olivia Colman following her best actress win at the Academy Awards.

"From cleaner to the Queen of Hollywood" - the Daily Express is also proud of Colman. On Labour's move, the paper calls it a "cynical attempt to cancel Brexit". The headline in the Leave-supporting paper says Jeremy Corbyn "must understand" the UK has had its "final say".

The Financial Times says the shift in Labour policy has given hope to Brexit opponents. The FT adds it will also increase pressure on Tory Eurosceptic MPs to back the PM's Brexit deal rather than risk the prospect of the referendum result being overturned.

The i says Jeremy Corbyn surprised his own MPs with the "major policy shift".

The Sun front page also reports the claim the prime minister is to propose formally ruling out a no-deal Brexit. However, its lead story is on the UK's hottest ever winter day - after 20.6C was recorded at Trawsgoed, west Wales.

The Daily Star leads on reports that reality TV star Gemma Collins has split with her boyfriend after he posted an unflattering video clip of her snoring online.
