Adani Group bids highest to operate Trivandrum International Airport

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The operation and management of Trivandrum International Airport is likely to be won by Adani Group. Adani Group has quoted the highest bid, when the financial bids for the airport were opened on Monday.
The Trivandrum International Airport is among the six airports in the country proposed for PPP model of development by the central government.
The bids for PPP model operation and management of the airport were invited for the project on the basis of the per-passenger fee for domestic passengers. The Adani Group submitted a bid of Rs 168 per domestic passenger.
It was followed by Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), which had quoted Rs 135 per domestic passenger. The lowest bid came from GMR Group, Rs 63.
The official announcement regarding the project will be made by AAI on February 28, when the Letter of Award will be given.
