Death toll due to swine flu touches 23 as two more succumb
tnn | Feb 26, 2019, 04:00 ISTVadodara: Two more persons died of swine flu on Monday, taking the death toll since January 1 to 23 in Vadodara city and district.
Six others including five from the city tested positive, taking the total number of those infected with H1N1 virus to 341 in the last two months. Of the 341, 283 are those from Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) limits.
Over 90 persons still remain hospitalized. The latest victims of the flu were a 35-year-old woman from the Tandalja area and a 75-year-old man from the Navayard. Those who tested positive on Monday include one from Bharuch while the remaining five are from Manjalpur, Tarsali, Chhani, Danteshwar and Gotri areas within VMC limits.
As many as 75 persons from the VMC limits and 17 from other areas of the Vadodara district are hospitalized at various hospitals in the city. Also, persons from other districts are hospitalized in the city.
