Google is dominating the MWC 2019 in Barcelona with its Android presence, including announcements of devices with Android Foldables, 5G and Rich Communication Services (RCS).

Amidst all existing and new Android-based services, Android One has been a stellar performer. The platform got a new logo, brought to the forefront with the launch of Nokia 3.2 and 4.2. Both the mid-range smartphones feature a Google Assitant button and continue to keep the legacy of offering a fresh and secure smartphone experience. It seems Android One devices are meeting the needs with faster OS updates, security patches, and clean software experience.

Thankfully, the mid-range phones like, Xiaomi, LG, Motorola, and HMD Global has led to the amazing growth of Android one (250 percent) over the past few years. In the midway, the entry-level devices are equipped with an optimised version of Android i.e. Android Go, which efficiently handles the software requirements of the handsets having less than 1GB RAM and successfully delivers a smooth experience. The new Nokia 1 Plus and BLU Vivo Go are powered with the Go version of the Android 9 Pie.

Moreover, the Digital wellbeing is now expanding beyond Pixel and Android one. Introduced earlier this week with the Samsung Galaxy S10, Google’s “Time Well Spent” is also making its way to the Moto G7 series.

Google also mentions working with Qualcomm and MediaTek to deliver chip-level support for Android’s NNAPI and ML kit. Similar to the Pixel 3, Google lens suggestion in camera app will also be featured in the LG G8.

Speaking of RCS, Google has effectively worked with career and device partners to roll it out in 24 countries.
