Stewart urges Congress to fund 9/11 program

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Comedian Jon Stewart urged lawmakers on Monday on Capitol Hill to pass legislation that would provide permanent funding to first responders and survivors sickened by the Sept.

11th attacks, media outlets reported.

Stewart was joined by Republican and Democratic lawmakers and 9/11 responders and their families.

The September 11th Victims Compensation Fund (VCF) is expected to expire in 2020.
