The imminent threat of a climate catastrophe, outdated modes of transport, overtourism crises and a threefold shift in customer demands – the four biggest challenges facing the global tourism industry will be the main topics at the ITB Berlin Convention from 6 to 9 March 2019. At the leading think tank of the international travel industry some 400 leading figures representing tourism, politics, industry will be discussing the future of travel at a total of 200 events.
Malaysia, the official partner country of the show, will take centre stage: During the show trade visitors and the public can find out about the many products and services of this southeast Asian country. Taking as its slogan ’Colors of Malaysia’, the partner country will host a fascinating programme of stage events for guests from around the world on 5 March at the official opening ceremony of ITB Berlin at the CityCube Berlin (CCB).
