Panchkula: 42-year-old assaults minor, held

PANCHKULA: A 42-year old person, a resident of Barwala, was arrested by the police for allegedly sexually harassing a six-year-old girl.
As per the police, the mother of the girl complained at the women police station and acting on which the police registered a case under section 6 of Pocso Act.
The police have arrested the accused, who has been identified as Rakesh alias Raju, a native of Nepal and is currently living in Barwala.
“The accused was produced before the district magistrate and was sent to judicial custody,” said Ajit Singh, SHO, women police station.
The police said they were investigating the matter.
