What awkward snub? Today show's Richard Wilkins finally gets his interview with Jason Momoa on the Oscars red carpet after the actor originally side-stepped the reporter

Richard Wilkins found himself brutally snubbed by Jason Momoa who awkwardly refused to speak to him at the Oscars on Monday.

But it turns out that the 64-year-old got his interview with the long-haired megastar after all.

The Today Extra host took to his Instagram on Monday evening to share a video clip of the Aquaman actor sharing a laugh with him on the red carpet.

In the video, a jovial Jason spoke to Richard, and while doing so thanked his 'buddy at home in Bondi' who taught him that 'real men wear pink'.

'Real men wear pink! Isn't that right Jason Michael?' he said to the mate home in Sydney.

Richard captioned the Instagram clip, explaining that Jason came back round for more interviews after the initial 'snub'.

The initial awkward exchange first occurred when, after spotting the star on the red carpet, the host tried to grab his attention.

'Jason, we're live from Australia,' he said while shaking the actor's hand, who responded, 'Love you Australia.'

But Jason, 39 subsequently ignored Dickie to speak to another reporter in an uncomfortable exchange.

Turning awkwardly back towards the camera, the affronted TV host attempted to shrug it off while glancing back at the Game of Thrones star.
