Woman, father gets PCR till February 28 for killing husband

Representative imageNAGPUR: Yashodhara Nagar police on Sunday produced Laxmibai Inawati (35) and her father Dasarath Maraskolhe, accused in the murder of the former’s husband in court and procured their PCR till Thursday. The duo had allegedly killed the woman’s husband on Friday night and tried to mislead the police by posing it as an accidental death.
On Friday night, Laxmibai had got into a fight with her husband Indarlal over his drinking habit, and in a fit of anger had thrashed him to death with a brick. The duo had then moved the body and buried it under sand.
The duo had later approached the Yashodhara Nagar police station and claimed that Indarlal was drunk and a stack of bricks had fallen over him, killing him, upon which the police had registered a case of accidental death. However, an autopsy later revealed that Indarlal has suffered serious injuries. During interrogation, the duo broke down and confessed to the murder.
