Scientists are baffled by the carcass of a humpback whale that was found in the Amazon jungle.

????Newsweek reports that the mammal was found on Marajo island in Brazil roughly 50 feet from the ocean shore.

????A team of biologists from the Bicho D’agua Institute posted photos of the whale that’s reported to be 12-month-old calf.

????Marine specialist, Renata Emin told Journal O Liberal that they think the tides are what swept the whale into the mangrove.
