More than 5 kg of gold was seized in different operations at the Cochin International Airport on Monday.
Customs Commissioner Sumit Kumar said that Customs officials had busted six gold smuggling attempts and also arrested a Sri Lankan national at the airport. The biggest seizure involved 11 gold bars, which weighted more than 2 kg. The gold was seized from a flight that arrived from Riyadh.
