HAJIPUR: A BJP functionary on Saturday lodged a complaint case in a local court against Congress leader and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for his controversial comment after the Pulwama terror attack.

Ajit Kumar, member of state working committee of BJP, alleged in his complaint that Sidhu made the remark as he enjoyed a good relation with Pakistan PM Imran Khan.

The court of Vaishali chief judicial magistrate Prem Chandra Verma, where the complaint was filed, has referred the matter to a subordinate court for further hearing. The court has fixed March 8 as the next date of hearing.

"Sidhu should be charged with sedition for his anti-national speech," Ajit said in his petition.
