BENGALURU: Tuition fee for post-graduation courses in private medical and dental colleges will cost 15% more from the coming academic year (2019-2020).
After a detailed discussion with the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (ComedK) on Saturday, the state government agreed to the demand to hike the fee by 15% over and above the current fees (2018-19) for all government seats under ComedK and ComedK quota seats, said consortium president M R Jayaram.
The state government also agreed for a yearly hike of 15%, he said, while adding that the same issue had figured in the state legislature during an earlier occasion.
With regard to fee hike for under graduate courses, discussions will be held after the Lok Sabha elections, Jayaram told reporters.
