Punjab: Police trace out Kashmiri man missing for two days

PATIALA: The Rajpura police traced out a missing Kashmiri resident who was working in a private bank and was living in a rented house in Rajpura. The police received a complaint from Syyed Umair, a student and roommate of the missing Kashmiri identified as 22-year-old Faisal Iqbal Khan.
The police claimed that hours after receiving the report about the missing of a Kashmiri resident, Iqbal was traced out by the police teams. The police revealed that Faisal had gone to Dera Beas where his mobile phones were either out of reach or remained unanswered according to the rules of the Dera.
Sayyed Umair, roommate of Faisal, said that he reported the matter to the police on Sunday after they were worried about the Faisal. “We noticed Faisal did not reach the room following which we were worried, but we decided to wait for his phone call. We called him up numerous times, but there was no response for two days. Sensing danger we knocked the police doors who helped us immediately. The police then traced his mobile locations and found that his phone was lying in the area near Beas region. Later, the police managed to contact him and he spoke to us following which we were assured that he is in good health and will be back soon.”
Station house officer City Rajpura Inspector Kanwarpal Singh said that within two hours of the missing complaint, the case was solved.
