The Veronicas' Jess and Lisa Origliasso have spoken candidly about their 'terrifying' #MeToo experience.
The Australian pop duo revealed their personal encounter for the first time to Stellar magazine on Sunday when quizzed about the viral movement which enables victims of sexual assault and harassment to share their harrowing experiences.
'We were young. It's terrifying to think about that,' the twin sisters, 34, told the publication.

Earlier in the Stellar interview, Jess shocked fans when she revealed the twins previously endured an 18-month estrangement.

'We were so connected, so close. For that to be a threat to anybody has been one of the hardest things for me to understand.'
The twin sisters do not specifically name the person or persons who 'threatened' their bond.

'It was very difficult for us': The Veronicas' opened up about their shock estrangement to Stellar magazine on Sunday and revealed their close bond was 'threatened' by outside forces
Jessica stated: 'I am so proud of how strong we've been... We have tried to handle ourselves as gracefully as possible. Nobody should feel like they can force themselves into your life how it suits them when it's toxic and unwanted.'
Despite cryptic references to outside forces, the brunette singer told Stellar that she is still baffled by how she ever fell out with Lisa, considering their closeness.
'It's hard to comprehend. I still cannot understand it. There's no way of explaining it,' she poignantly told Stellar, adding: 'I was watching baby videos our dad brought over the other day of Lise and I. We were so connected'.
The twins are now working on music together for the first time, with their new single Think Of Me set for release next month.
Both Jessica and Lisa are also in happy relationships.

Jessica split from Australian actress Ruby Rose last year, and is now dating musician Kai Carlton.
It's a relationship that Lisa certainly approves of, telling Stellar that Kai treats her sister with 'respect and love'.
Meanwhile, Lisa tied the knot to American actor Logan Huffman in November last year.
The couple split their time between Brisbane and their 'urban farm' in the United States.
