Bhopal: Though the implementation of seventh pay commission was announced for the professors working in government colleges they are yet to receive the benefit of it. Salary of more than 5000 professors is being paid on the basis of calculations of sixth pay commission. In the first month after announcement of implementation the salaries of professors got delayed by more than a week and ultimately old salaries were distributed.
The feedback revealed that software used by the treasuries and accounts office did not have provision for amendment for salaries of professors. On the complaint of professors higher education department wrote to directorate of treasuries.
Commissioner treasuries said that the issue is being addressed and will be resolved very soon. Higher education department will be informed that professors will get their salaries in accordance with seventh pay commission from next month. State government had announced that Professors will get seventh pay salaries from January 1, 2016.
The arrears of two years will deposited in their GPF account and they will get new salary from January 2019. Additional Commissioner higher education said that the staff members of the department will get amended salaries from next month.
