CRPF cop on Hyderabad-bound train missing

Hyderabad: Mystery shrouds the disappearance of a CRPF constable, who went missing after boarding Telangana Express bound for Hyderabad on Tuesday. Forty-year-old Saldeep Kumar was on his way to attend a training programme at Hakimpet along with 13 others. With his whereabouts not known, CRPF officials have lodged a missing complaint on Friday.
Secunderabad Railway Police said Saldeep, who was posted in 181 battalion of CRPF in Budgam in Jammu and Kashmir, boarded the train on Tuesday along with 13 CRPF men. But since Tuesday, he had gone missing and his phone was switched off.
Saldeep and others did not have reservation and entered different bogies. Saldeep was travelling in an unreserved compartment. Police said he was in touch with his colleagues till 10 pm on Tuesday. Later, he was not to be seen. Saldeep is a native of Samba district in Kashmir.
“The CRPF men came here to attend the training programme in Hakimpet. The other members reached Hyderabad on Wednesday night,’’ a police official said.
