Mumbai: Defending champions Central Railway SA fought back to overcome Western Railway 3-2 in an exciting Super Division match of the MHAL League at the MHAl Stadium, Churchgate on Friday. Reuben Kedari, Mohd. Nizamuddin and Rajendra Pawar scored for Central Railway while Western Railway who lead 2-1 scored through Stanley Minz and Manjinder Singh.
Central with 10 points from five games are in second position behind strong contenders Indian Navy with 15 points from six games, in the 8-team league. The reigning champions Central and Navy meet in a crucial match on Saturday. A win for Navy would ensure they emerge champions.
