Badminton star P V Sindhu flew in the Light Combat Aircraft Tejas at the Aero India 2019 air show in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Women's Day was observed on Saturday at the Aero India 2019, showcasing women's achievements in aerospace.

Tejas, built by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, is a single engine multi-role light fighter.

Three Indian Air Force women fighter pilots are also expected to fly the Hawk-I advanced jet trainer and an upgraded version of the MiG-21.
