Ujjain: Handbag of a pilgrim was stolen from his car while they were taking dips in river Kshipra at Ramghat on Friday. Pawan, son of Deendayal Sharma, a resident of Vidisha visited Ujjain on Friday with his wife Shilpa. The devotees lodged a complaint with Mahakal police station.
In the complaint, they stated that Shilpa’s bag with jewelleries worth around Rs 2 lakh and Rs 5000 cash were stolen while they were taking dips in Kshipra. According Sharma, the police just took the complaint and did not take any action.
In another incident, Dheeraj, a resident of Bairagarh, Bhopal lodged a complaint with GRP stating that thieves took away his bag containing two mobile phones, Rs 5000 cash and other valuables from the train during his journey. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
