Finance minister Arun Jaitley while speaking at the ET Global Business summit 2019 on day one, said the government’s economic reforms programme had ensured that its benefits went to those sections that were worse-off and had traditionally been excluded from the gains that accrued from such policy changes. He also characterised allegations that the government was undermining institutions as fake news.
