THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a first in the state, Kerala public service commission (KPSC), in association with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, would conduct an online engineering aptitude test for 3rd and 4th semester engineering students on March 9.
“The test was a proposal from PSC. It would not only help the students get themselves familiarized with online examinations, but also let them have a clear understanding about the basic engineering aptitude they currently possess. It would help them to work on and improve their aptitude in the years to come,” said KTU academic dean J Sreekumar.
According to sources, conducting the test would help the PSC evaluate the robustness of the commission’s new online mechanism for conducting selection tests to government jobs.
Students who participate in the aptitude test would get 10 activity points. Only regular engineering students would be allowed to participate.
Following heavy rush of applicants, PSC has extended the last date to apply for the test till Monday. Application form is available on PSC website.
