Miley Cyrus jokingly nicknamed her husband Liam "Hem-Dawg" Hemsworth on Instagram
Pawsitively in love!
Miley Cyrus shared a sweet snap of new husband Liam Hemsworth cuddling with a dog on Friday — and revealed Hemsworth’s hilarious new nickname.
The photo, shared on Cyrus’ Instagram Stories, shows Hemsworth, 29, wearing a bright yellow hoodie and snuggling a dog close to his chest.
Cyrus, 26, captioned the image, “@liamhemsworth AKA Hem-Dawg,” adding the hashtag “#LitAsAMothaF—a.” At the bottom of the image, Cyrus revealed, “he made me post this WITH these specific captions.”

It was a day full of animals for the couple: On Friday, Cyrus also posted Instagram Story videos of her hanging out with two cats, including one that she called “King Louis.”
Cyrus shares her husband’s love for dogs, too. On Sunday, the musician posted a snap of her cuddling with one of her puppies — while wearing her wedding dress! “You can always find me barefoot on the floor playin w my puppies… even at my own wedding,” she wrote.
The stars, who were first engaged in 2012, tied the knot in December after nearly a decade of makeups and breakups following their first meeting on the set of 2010’s The Last Song.

Cyrus and Hemsworth’s mutual love of animals has played a big part in the couple’s relationship.
During an appearance on SiruisXM’s Howard Stern Show in December, the singer revealed that Hemsworth had saved her bevy of animals — including seven dogs, four horses, two pigs and three cats — from the fire that destroyed their Malibu home in November.

“Liam, I’ve never loved him more for this,” Cyrus told Stern. “I call him my survival partner now. He thinks it’s not romantic, but I learned that it is. It is why you pair up with someone, for survival. He was so incredible — he got all the animals out in his truck. He put two pigs in crates, which I tell you is so hard.”
Besides the pigs, Cyrus added that the cats presented an additional challenge.
“My cats, they’re so stupid,” she said. “He tried to get my cats out and he was trying to lead them to the truck because he had the dogs and all these things, and one of the cats started running away. The cats have never really been outside and he started opening the door, trying to get them in and out. The one cat just ran away, and I’m so glad he didn’t just say, ‘Okay, you don’t know what you’re running into.’”
