Leakage from Oil India’s gas well in Jaisalmer

Leakage from Oil India’s gas well in Jaisalmer JAISALMER: There has been information of leakage from a gas well of Oil India in Dandewala area in Jaisalmer district adjoining India-Pakistan border, for last two days. There has been no information of any kind of damage, and being an open area, there are no chances of any kind of damage.

Oil India has started efforts to control the leakage and technical experts are working on it. ONGC experts have been called to stop the leakage. The gas leakage pressure has been controlled.

According to official sources, on Wednesday evening, in Dandewala in Tanot area of Indo-Pak border in Jaisalmer district, suddenly gas started leaking from well number two of Oil India.

At the time the leakage started, production for gas supply to Ramgarh thermal project was going on. The gas was being produced at tubing pipes, when the leakage started due to technical problem in casing pipe. Pressure of gas leakage was 90kg.
