Ludhiana: Sukhbir demands FIR against Ashu

LUDHIANA: While reacting over the recent controversy regarding alleged involvement of cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu in the flat scam case of Ludhiana, SAD president and former deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal has demanded registration of an FIR against him on Saturday.

Sukhbir was here in city on Saturday for meeting the party workers from East constituency and while interacting with media persons, he levelled allegations on the Congress MLAs by saying that all of them were involved in the sale of liquor and other wrong businesses. He also demanded an FIR against CM Captain Amarinder Singh, because lathicharge was on teachers during his regime.

The SAD president said, “The role of a cabinet minister of Congress has been highlighted in an inquiry report so there should be FIR against him and he should be behind the bars for giving shelter to illegal activities.” Sukhbir Badal said this is one example and all the Congress MLAs are involved in such type of activities only. He said nobody is bothered about development works rather are busy in their personal development.

The former deputy CM Badal while pointing out towards Behbal Kalan firing incident said, “If Captain is holding the former CM Parkash Singh Badal responsible for that incident since he was in power then so many incidents have happened in his term where lathicharge took place on teachers, two farmers died in firing incident etc so even he should be held responsible for those incidents.” Sukhbir demanded that FIR should be registered against Captain as well.

He said SIT formed by the captain government is politically motivated and they are doing everything on the directions of Captain Amarinder Singh. He condemned the Congress government for befooling the voters by not fulfilling even a single promise made at the time of assembly elections.
