Top tips: The U.K. based Twitter user shared a number of tips as he recommended those flying to do regular stretches, bring noise cancelling headphones and opt for podcasts over movies
Twitter user Taha Khan, under the username @KhanStopMe posted the tweets on Wednesday, February 20, in a thread that has since gone viral after being liked by 22,000 people.
Beginning his thread, Taha revealed that he flies a lot, before listing a number of his top tips and traveling hacks.
He wrote: 'Never check bags. Pack for max 10 days & do laundry. Jet lag hits you on the second night. Use melatonin.
'When you get off the plane, speed walk to passport control. You save a minute of queuing for every person you pass,' he added.
Taha, a creative producer from the U.K. added that he recommends stretching and moving around regularly throughout the flight in order to prevent muscle aches, which can result from cabin pressure and lack of movement.
He also advises bringing moisturizer for the lips and skin to prevent them becoming dry and cracked.
And although most people opt to settle into a good movie during a long-haul flight to help pass the time, Taha said this isn't the best idea.
'Watching films dries your eyes quickly, you’ll feel rough afterwards. Podcasts, music & audio books are better,' he said.
The Twitter user continued his thread, saying: 'Ask for upgrades at the gate every time. Sometimes they’re really cheap.
'Noise cancelling headphones are essential. Neck pillows aren’t worth the hassle. Eye masks are worth it.

Travel-pro: The avid traveler also recommends drinking orange juice to 'make you feel alive' on or after a long flight, and bringing anti-bacterial wipes to clean any surfaces you might touch
'Always have a power bank. Don’t count on in-flight power or entertainment,' he added.
When it comes to food and snacks, the traveling-pro has his top picks.
For a light snack, he recommends eating popular candy M&Ms or Skittles.
And for an in-flight beverage, Taha looks no further than a glass of vitamin C loaded orange juice.
He wrote: 'Orange Juice is magic. It makes you feel alive again. Bring your own, theirs is sugar water.'
In a more straightforward tip, Taha says it's a good idea to bring a pack of anti-bacterial wipes to wipe down the pull-out table top that opens from the back of the seat in front of you.
When it comes to time keeping, Taha says it's okay to give yourself less time to arrive at the airport during children's school term, when airports probably aren't as busy.
He said: 'During school term time, arriving 1.5 hrs before an international flight is fine. Trust me.'
His tips for getting through the airport and airport security smoothly include keeping your passport at arm's reach at all times, and keeping all electronics in a backpack or handbag.
He said: 'Passports are pocket sized. Keep it on you from start to finish.

Tips and tricks: Other Twitter users began sharing their best tips for travelling in response to Taha's Twitter thread, which has since gone viral
'Always take off belt, shoes & jackets at security, even if they don’t ask, it saves you any trouble.
'All electronics should be in your backpack. Repacking your suitcase after an inspection is a nightmare,' he added.
Lastly, Taha recommends choosing a good, reliable bag or suitcase to travel with, and having a shortcut set up to let someone know if there's any trouble landing.
Since he posted the tweet, it has received more than 22,000 likes, almost 5,000 retweets and over 300 comments.

One Twitter user, @Julie188 wrote: 'A tip from a woman: I always check a bag on direct flights. It's expensive and it means waiting at bag claim but it also means bringing whatever makeup, hair care products, shoes and home comfort items u need. Plus, room to bring gifts back.'
Another user, @RepubGirlNW added: 'Bring an empty reusable water bottle - no need to pay for a $5 bottle in the airport or deal with the tiny plane cups.'
