A police detective has been struck off for behaving inappropriately towards a female colleague.
Detective Constable 2272 Shaun Parry appeared before a police misconduct hearing in Colwyn Bay this week over an allegation that he behaved "inappropriately" towards a colleague.
The North Wales Police officer was dismissed from the force "without notice" yesterday after the allegation was found to be proven.
Following the two day hearing, which was held in private, the force said: "On 19th and 20th February, 2019, DC 2272 Parry appeared before a Misconduct Hearing at police headquarters, Colwyn Bay.
"This related to alleged breaches of the standards of professional behaviour specifically authority, respect and courtesy, equality and diversity and discreditable conduct.
"The case was found proven and to be gross misconduct. DC Parry was dismissed without notice."
Ahead of the two-day hearing, police said it was alleged DC Parry, who was based in the "western area" of the force, behaved inappropriately towards a female colleague while on duty.
The incident took place on May 5 last year.
No further details about the nature of the incident were revealed, and it was decided that the hearing should be held in private, with no members of the press or public able to attend.
The force said: "The chair of the misconduct hearing...determined to exclude members of the public from the hearing in order to facilitate the proper conduct of proceedings and to preserve the anonymity of vulnerable individuals."
