BSNL improves network

As per TRAI report on drive tests released recently, Government Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, has met KPIs in all 5 parameters in both 2G and 3G in three cities, which is best amongst its competitors. The performance of BSNL has been continuously improving as can be seen from the statistics of drive test done by TRAI during 2017-18 and current financial year. In FY2017-18 TRAI conducted drive test in 46 cities and BSNL met the benchmark in all 5 parameters in 22 cities, which was similar to few other operators. However during current financial year, BSNL has emerged as best performing operator by meeting all 5 KPIs benchmark in as many as 25 cities out of 49, where drive tests (around 20000 KM) were conducted by TRAI, which is best amongst all other operator.

Subscribers have welcomed the improvement in network performance and attractive plans offered by porting to BSNL in large numbers. BSNL is one of the two operator to show net addition of 5.56 lakh subscribers during December 2018, as per latest TRAI report. Recently BSNL has also offered Eros Now premium subscription free of cost with unlimited movies and exclusive video series to its consumers of select STV/plans of Rs.78, Rs.98, Rs.298, Rs.333 and Rs.444.
