The Jagannadharaju Nagar Residential Welfare Association has been adjudged as the third Best RWA in the country in the RWA Category of National Water Awards-2018 instituted by the Union Ministry of Water Resources.

The award that carries a cash prize of ₹1 lakh and a citation will be given away by Union Minister for Water Resources Nitin Gadkari at a function, scheduled to be organised in New Delhi on February 25. JR Nagar RWA president K.S.R. Murthy will receive the award.

The RWA was chosen for digging up recharge pits alongside the roads of the colony and creating awareness on conservation of water resources, maintaining cleanliness and developing abundant greenery, Dr. Murthy said.
