12K farmers to attend launch of PM Krishi Samman Yojana in Ranchi
TNN | Feb 23, 2019, 04:48 ISTRanchi: Around 12,000 farmers from seven districts will attend the state-level launch of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Yojana in Ormanjhi on Sunday, Ranchi deputy commissioner Rai Mahimapat Ray said on Friday. He added that the ceremony will be connected through video conferencing to the main launch venue at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
“In Ranchi, the first round of registrations for the yojana was wrapped up on February 20. The second round of registrations will continue till February 28. Farmers interested in enrolling themselves under the scheme can contact circle and block offices with the required documents,” Ray said. Farmers with cultivable land up to five acres are eligible for aid worth Rs 6,000 annually under the scheme. Beneficiaries will also receive token certificates at the launch event.
Ray also said that voter registration camps will be held in all booths of Ranchi on February 23 and February 24 and again on March 2 and March 3. “One can contact the voter’s helpline by dialling 1950. Booth-level officers will be present on both weekends to help voters,” Ray added.
