New Peugeot 208 Revealed In Leaked Images Ahead Of Imminent Debut

Here’s our first look at the all-new Peugeot 208, thanks to a series of leaked official images that surfaced online.

The new generation of Peugeot’s supermini is particularly interesting for the European market as it’s going to be offered in petrol, diesel and all-electric guises. The pure EV variant appears to be the blue car in the pictures, featuring a slightly different front grille.

The design of the new 208 adopts the cleaner lines of its bigger brothers, namely the 308 and the 508, with the front end featuring a pair of LED daytime running lights that look either like fangs or claw marks. We’ll let you decide.

The massive leak also includes the first image of the new 208’s interior, which adopts the same futuristic styling with its bigger siblings. This includes a pretty small in diameter two-spoke steering wheeling, a digital instrument cluster, plenty of gloss-black trim combined with shiny switchgear and a wide infotainment display.

The new 208 is based on PSA’s latest CMP architecture and the EV version is expected to use the same powertrain as the DS3 Crossback E-Tense that consists of a 134hp electric motor and a 50kWh battery pack, while its range is expected to be around 300km (186 miles) per the new WLTP standards.

The new Peugeot 208 will make its official debut on March 5 at the Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned!
