Cape Town – Taraji P. Henson ditches the drama for comedy in this week’s big movie release.

The Oscar-nominated actress stars in What Men Want a loose remake of the 2000 film What Women Want starring Mel Gibson.

Hilarity ensures when Ali (Henson) gains the ability to read men’s thoughts.

Also showing: The underrated coming-of-age drama Eighth Grade directed by Bo Burham. The film scooped the award for Best Original Screenplay at the Writers Guild awards beating heavyweights Green Book, A Quiet Place, Roma and Vice.

Here are the 2 new films releasing in SA cinemas:

Movie: What Men Want

Our rating: 4/5

Short review: Even though the movie follows the tried and trusted rom-com formula, there are plenty of hilarious moments, so hold onto your popcorn for some big laughs!
