Ahead of its big MWC 2019 event, HMD Global has announced a new variant of its mid-range offering, Nokia 6.1 Plus (review). The handset was initially launched with just 4GB RAM and 64GB user-expandable storage. However, from February 22nd, consumers will be able to buy the Nokia 6.1 Plus with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage (expandable up to 400GB) as well via the official Nokia store. It will also be available via major retail stores starting March 1st.
The price in India of Nokia 6.1 Plus is set at Rs 18,499 and the handset will be available in Black, White and Midnight Blue colours. It will also come with Airtel’s Rs 2,000 instant cashback offer and 240 GB data over 12 months on the recharges of Rs 199, Rs 249, and Rs 448.

To recall, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is an Android One device and has recently received Android 9 Pie update via OTA. The phone ships with 5.8-inch notch-toting FHD+ display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset. For photography, it rocks dual 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors on the rear and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter up front. A 3,060mAh battery fuels the device, and on the glass layered back panel, you get a fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ GLONASS, USB Type C, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
