Transwomen seek action against 2 policemen
TNN | Feb 23, 2019, 04:06 ISTTirupur: More than 40 transwomen blocked Kumaran Road on Friday demanding action against two police personnel, who allegedly attacked two transwomen.
The protesters said when Nagalakshmi, 21, and Sivagami, 27, of Neruperichal were walking near Omsakthi Temple on Kongu Nagar on Thursday night, two policemen, members of the two-wheeler patrolling team, intercepted them and attacked them. The Tirupur north police refused to receive a complaint, the protesters said. They dispersed after police pacified them. TNN
