Before we get there however, we’ll give you a recap of the camera specs and a brief overview of the features offered by the default camera app. The triple camera array at the rear comprises a 12MP sensor with dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4) and OIS, along with a 12MP telephoto f/2.4 sensor that also boasts OIS and enables 2X optical zoom. Then there’s an ultra-wide 16MP fixed focus f/2.2 sensor with a 123-degree view. At the front, you get a 10MP f/1.9 sensor aided by an 8-meg fixed focus f/2.2 depth sensor. Both the rear and front camera setups can shoot 4K video, and you even get the option of shooting video in HDR10+ from the rear cameras. Thanks to the Neural Processing Unit, the Scene Optimizer feature can recognise various scenes and optimise settings for best possible output, while another feature called Shot Suggestion offers composition recommendations.

The camera app is quite packed too. The default photo mode lets you switch between the telephoto and wide shooting options, and other modes on offer include Live focus (bokeh), Pro, Food, and Super Slow Motion video, among others. Bixby Vision, which is Samsung’s take on the Google Lens, is also there, and so is AR Emoji. colour filters and effects, and a customisable beauty mode are also included. Jump into the camera settings where you’ll find other goodies like Flaw Detection and Motion Photos.
