A search is under way for a man who allegedly walked into a gun store and stole a rifle before walking on to the street.
CCTV footage caught the moment the man allegedly entered the store on Playne Street in Melbourne's Frankston about 12pm on February 9.
The man, wearing a white tee-shirt, grey trousers and carrying a backpack, can be seen walking over to wall where a longarm Remington .308 rifle. was on display before picking it up.

Investigators have been told a man rode a bike to the store.
He was last seen riding his bike towards the Frankston railway station.
Police have released images and CCTV of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
