Indore: Residents got no relief from hot weather on Wednesday as temperature rose above 33 degrees Celsius, which was highest since January 1 this year. Due to cloudy weather, the minimum temperature too went above 14 degrees Celsius, making the night unbearable for residents.
City recorded maximum temperature of 33.4 degrees Celsius, which was four degrees above normal while the minimum temperature at 14.7 degrees Celsius was two degrees above the normal. The morning and evening humidity was 33 percent and 25 percent respectively. The wind blew at an average speed of 10-12 kilometres per hour.
According to meteorological department, the rise in temperature is due to change in wind direction, which is blowing from south and south east direction. “There is western disturbance in the northern part of the country. The temperature will take a U turn for the short interval in coming days,” a met department official said.
