Elderly man dies after being hit by ute exiting car park in Perth CBD

An elderly man has died in hospital after being struck by a ute coming out of an underground car park as he walked along a footpath in Perth's CBD.

The incident happened about 1pm on Tuesday on Milligan Street, near the Woodside Plaza building.

The man died in hospital late Wednesday night.

A police spokeswoman said the 74-year-old had walked into the path of a Mitsubishi Triton as it was exiting an underground carpark.

"The pedestrian ... received critical injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital," she said.

"The man died on 20 February, 2019 from injuries received in the crash.

"Major Crash officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash, the pedestrian or Mitsubishi Utility prior to the crash."
