Concealer or Foundation: What to apply first?

Our experiments with make-up start with a kajal, lipglosses or glitter. From there on we observe people around us and hone our skills as we grow. With beauty bloggers bombarding our social media with make up tutorials, it is normal if you feel confused.

The first most important step while applying make up is to know what should be applied first between foundation or concealer. Well, the answer is that foundation should go first. The reason is that it is supposed to even out your skin tone and hide the blemishes and discoloration of skin that you hate so much.

And until and unless you apply your foundation, you cannot know how much concealer is needed to lighten or brighten areas on your face.

Caution though- this rule applies to cream foundations and not to powder foundation. In case of powder foundation, apply the concealer first to have an even out look.

PROFESSIONAL TIP: Make sure that you apply a bit of moisturiser on your face before applying foundation or concealer. You can also experiment with your concealer by adding a bit of moisturiser to it - this way it will work like a foundation.
