Alizee, Grunt headline inaugural All-Star Mile field
Alizee, the Godolphin mare, and Grunt, Mick Price's Flemington specialist, are the headline horses in the top 10 vote-getters for the field for the inaugural All-Star Mile.
The two group 1 winners provide the class in what will be a 14-strong field for the $5 million race on March 16 at Flemington.
The field will be augmented by four invited gallopers, the first of whom has been revealed as Happy Clapper.
The 10 votegetters for the world's richest 1600-metre race are: Balf's Choice, Urban Ruler, Grunt, Alizee, Amphitrite, Foundry, Material Man, Man of his Word, Moss'n'Dale and Mr Moneybags.
The bulk of the contenders are trained in Victoria but Material Man is from WA, Alizee is Sydney based and Balf's Choice is trained in South Australia.
The rank outside Urban Ruler is trained in Queensland.
