Hasson posed 'threat' to community: prosecutor

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland Robert Hur on Thursday said the "sheer number and force" of weapons that were recovered from Christopher Hasson's residence appeared to pose a "very significant threat" to the community.

Hasson, a U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant, is accused of planning mass murder.

Hasson is a self-proclaimed white nationalist who said he dreamed of a way to quote "kill almost every last person on earth," according to a recovered manifesto.

He was arrested in Silver Spring, Maryland last Friday on weapons and drugs charges.
