Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg (Pic), who has become her generation’s voice on climate change after inspiring students around the world to go on strike to express their anger and angst over global warming, has a message for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a message on digital video publisher Brut India, the young climate activist who has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome says: “Dear Mr Modi, you need to take action now against the climate crisis, not just talking about it because if you keep going on like this, doing business as usual, and just talking about and bragging about the little victories, you are going to fail. And if you fail, you are going to be seen as one of the worst villains in human history in the future. And you don’t want that.”

On Thursday, she also urged the European Union to double its ambition for greenhouse gas cuts, warning that politicians who fail to tackle climate change will be “remembered as the greatest villains of all time” for leading the world to disaster.
