NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive the Seoul Peace Prize on Friday. Addressing a meeting of Indian expats in Seoul, he said the prize will honour India’s 1.3 billion population.
“Tomorrow, I will be honoured with Seoul Peace Prize. This prize is not mine, I will only be receiving it on behalf of 130 crore Indians and 3 crore Indians living abroad. This prize is a recognition of hard work of all Indians,” he said.
“I am grateful to all pravasi (overseas) Indians for increasing the prestige with which India is regarded. I congratulate all of you on this score,” the PM said.
