The big players need to perform this weekend
The goalless draw with Bayern Munich wasn't a bad result for the Reds.
I am confident we can score in the Allianz and an away goal could be decisive.
The tie is still in the balance but the focus must turn to Manchester United .
Every trip to Old Trafford is important but this one is absolutely huge.
A victory on Sunday would not only fire us towards the finish line in the league, but it would also give us the confidence to go on in the Champions League too.
The big players need to turn up at the weekend .
Salah, Firmino and Mane are all due a big away performance against a top team after quiet away days this season versus Chelsea , Manchester City , Spurs , Arsenal , Napoli and PSG. (Michael Atherton, Crosby)
Foolish Bayern could be made to pay again

For the first time in a long time, Europe has taken on secondary importance to the league - a testimony to Liverpool's fantastic domestic form.
While the league is many fans’ priority, European nights at Anfield have an allure all of their own.
The game against Bayern failed to ignite with both sides guilty of sloppy, unforced errors.
Liverpool failed to build on the increased pressure that they put Bayern under at the end of the first half and will have to avoid an away defeat for the first time in Europe this season.
Bayern Munich were foolish enough to believe that a goalless draw at Anfield was enough to take them to Paris in 1981.
An excellent Liverpool side travelled to Bavaria and came away with a result and there’s no reason why this excellent Liverpool side can’t do the same. (John Rowan, Walton)
Summer arrivals more encouraging

It was a decent performance against Bayern Munich, only lacking one thing.
Before the game the concerns were around the lack of central defenders, but as it turned out, it was the usually reliable front three who fluffed their lines.
There were encouraging performances from Fabinho as a makeshift centre-back and from Naby Keita who continues to improve with each performance.
The biggest disappointment was failing to score against a suspect Bayern defence.
We’re a much more consistent team than last year, reflected in our league position, but you can’t help wishing for another of those Porto, Roma or Man City performances.
Munich next month would be the perfect time to rediscover our Champions League scoring boots - but a 1-1 draw would do. (Martin Latham, Woolton)
Van Dijk missed for more than defending

I always felt this was going to be a difficult tie against Bayern Munich and so it proved in the first leg here.
They obviously came with a plan to contain us and did it well.
After a less than convincing start, the partnership Joel Matip and Fabinho improved as the minutes went on.
Fabinho ending up possibly man of the match. Virgil van Dijk is missed by more than just his defending though, his organisation and intelligent balls out of defense makes us a different team.
We ran out of ideas in the second half but the clean sheet was important at home for us and the away leg will I’m sure be a completely different game. Let’s hope that we can use the space, get an away goal and win the tie. (Mick Charman, Hale Village)
