CT City sign midfielder Travis Graham

Cape Town - Cape Town City on Thursday announced the signing of former Ajax Cape Town midfielder Travis Graham after injuries to key duo Roland Putsche and Thabo Nodada.

The former Urban Warriors captain had been without a club since the end of the 2016/2017 season after turning down a contract renewal offer.

The 25-year-old had been set on a move to an unknown team in Europe but has now signed a short-term deal with the Citizens until the end of the season, with an option to extend.

Graham is thought to be keen on a short-term deal due to the hopes of still securing a move abroad, but will now add valuable cover to CT City's depleted midfield.

City on Tuesday confirmed that Putsche and Nodada have been ruled out for the remainder of the 2018/2019 campaign, forcing head coach Benni McCarthy to bring in cover.

The Austrian suffered a meniscus tear to his right knee while the Bafana Bafana international suffered a leg fracture in a 3-0 win over Highlands Park in a Nedbank Cup last 16 clash.
