Vadodara: A 25-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide for unknown reasons at her home in Maneja on Wednesday evening.
The woman identified as Anju Rajput was found hanging from the ceiling fan when her husband Rajeshkumar Rajput returned from work at Wednesday night using a cotton rope. Anju was alone with her six-month-old son in the house.
When Rajeshkumar returned home around 8.30 pm on Wednesday, Anju did not open the door. However, he could hear his son Bhuvnesh’s cries so he broke a glass window and found his son on the bed. Rajeshkumar then broke open the door after waiting for some time, but was shocked to see his wife hanging.
Rajeshkumar found suicide notes in which Anju stated that she was taking the extreme step without blaming anyone. Addressing her family members and cops, Anju also asked not to blame Rajeshkumar for her death. She, in fact, asked her husband to take care of their son and encourage him for studies.
Police said that nothing suspicious was found in Rajeshkumar’s statement. A case of accidental death was registered at Makarpura police station.
Rajeshkumar works as a casual labourer and the couple was married for two years. The couple had moved to city from their native place Alwar immediately after the wedding.
