“The Samsung Galaxy M20 is a must buy for millennials in India and here’s why”

Samsung recently debuted its new Galaxy M series with the launch of the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones in India. According to the South Korean giant, the new lineup is targeted at millennials. To that end, the company has packed its latest budget smartphones with powerful features, so much so that the higher-end model of the two – the Galaxy M20 – comes across as a complete package in the budget segment. Well, if you think we’re exaggerating, then read on to find out five things that make the Samsung Galaxy M20 a solid smartphone.

A design and display that’s in line with the latest trends

It was just in November that Samsung showcased its new displays in the form of the Infinity-V, Infinity-U and Infinity-O panels, and the Korean giant is offering the Infinity-V display with the Galaxy M20. What this means is that you get just a tiny notch on top of the screen to hold the selfie shooter, with virtually no bezels all around. Thanks to impressive screen-to-body ratio, the phone packs in a large 6.3-inch display without being too unwieldy. With a full HD+ resolution, the handset offers sharp text and visuals. Flip to the back, and what will get your attention is the blue hue (you can also purchase the M20 in the classy black colour).

Powerful innards to ensure a smooth performance

To ensure that the Samsung Galaxy M20 can handle the modern-day apps and games, the brand has opted for a new Exynos 7904 SoC. The octa-core chipset comes with a 1.8GHz dual-core cluster and a 1.6GHz hexa-core cluster, to offer a good balance between performance and power. Couple that with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and the smartphone is able to offer a smooth user experience.

Furthermore, the device comes with a dedicated microSD card slot, which means that you can expand the built-in 32GB or 64GB storage without compromising on the dual-SIM functionality.

Capable cameras on the rear and the front

On the back of Samsung’s Galaxy M20 sits dual cameras, comprising a 13MP snapper and an 8MP shooter. Interestingly enough, instead of simply using a depth sensor unlike other brands, the brand is offering a wide-angle lens with the secondary camera, which lets you get a wider field of view for clicking better landscape shots. For selfies, the phone has a 16-megapixel sensor on the front.

A useful feature in the form of the Lock Screen Stories

As far as the software is concerned, the M20 boots Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top. One of the things that stands out with this interface is the new lock screen feature. Powered by Glance, Lock Screen Stories shows you a variety of interesting content and pictures. What makes this feature even more useful is that you can choose the type of content you want to see from as many as 19 categories. Considering the fact that the Lock Screen Stories were quite a hit on some of Samsung’s earlier J series of phones, it’s not a surprise to see it being included in the Samsung Galaxy M20 as well.

A battery that goes on and on

With the Galaxy M20, you get an appealing design, powerful hardware, great cameras, and intuitive software, but what would make the phone a complete package? A good battery life, of course. And the smartphone doesn’t disappoint. It packs in a beefy 5,000mAh cell that should last more than a day even with heavy usage. That’s not all, in case you have to charge it up, you can do so quickly, thanks to the support for 15W Fast Charge with the bundled adapter.

Making the Samsung Galaxy M20 even more compelling is its enticing price point of Rs 10,999 for the base model, and RS 12,999 for the 4GB RAM variant. The smartphone is available to buy from Amazon.in and the fact that it has been sold out in all its sales suggest that the brand’s latest has struck a chord with consumers.
