Rachel Davidson finished with 29 points, eight steals and five assists as Case defeated Westport 69-50 in girls' basketball on Tuesday at Monahan Gymnasium in Swansea.

Case (9-10) outscored Westport 22-4 in the fourth quarter. Plagued by foul trouble for much of the game, Case's Alisa Feilhauer came off the bench to score nine of her 13 points in those final eight minutes. Case sophomore Riley Fitzgerald also scored 14 points and she had three 3-pointers.

For Westport, Lily Pichette scored 18 points while Jess Carney and Abbie Zuber both scored 10.

Case needs to win its regular-season finale, Thursday at Middleboro, to qualify for the sectional playoffs.

Bourne 43, Bishop Stang 38: At Bourne, freshman Lily Shields scored 20 points for the Spartans (11-8) in this loss.

Bourne led 19-18 at halftime.

 

BOYS' BASKETBALL

Moses Brown 54, Tiverton 53: At Providence, Carson Hart scored 27 points for the Tigers (8-10) in this Rhode Island Division II loss.

Matt Gacioch added eight points and Timmy Levakis seven for Tiverton.
