Vadodara: A day after two brothers were thrashed by fellow students, MSU has asked officials of Faculty of Law to submit a report in connection to the violence.
Late on Tuesday night, a complaint of robbery and assault was also registered at Fatehgunj police station against the four students who attacked the duo who happens to be siblings.

“We have requested dean of students of Faculty of Law to inquire into the matter and submit a report within two days so that further action can be initiated,” said MSU’s in-charge registrar N K Ojha.

“We are also getting CCTV camera’s footage to ascertain the details of the incident,” said Ojha.

A group of parents on Wednesday also approached university authorities demanding strict action against the students accused of violence.

According to police sources, fourth-year BA LLB student Prathmesh Jaiswal and his younger brother Mayank were thrashed on Tuesday noon by Harendrasinh Sisodiya, Raghuvendrasinh Rathod, Shaktisinh Zala, Bhavesh Chauhan and an unidentified student. The two groups had got into petty arguments on Monday, but they had a peaceful arrangement.

It is alleged that when Mayank apologized to the four students on Tuesday, they lost their cool and started beating up the two brothers.

Prathmesh also alleged that during the melee, the unidentified student robbed his gold necklace worth Rs 40,000.

The victims were rescued by their friends and the vigilance staff of the university. The duo was taken to SSG Hospital for treatment.
